At the World Ocean Science Congress (WOSC) 2026, Reliance Foundation convened the Marine Fishermen Meet 2026 and released India’s National Marine Risk Intelligence Brief 2026, based on structured consultations with 593 participants across nine coastal states.

The initiative translated field evidence into clear R&D priorities and policy-ready governance recommendations, advancing a forward-looking Marine Risk Intelligence Framework (2026–2030) for safer seas and resilient livelihoods.

The event also marked the AI-enabled relaunch of the Machli App, strengthening predictive advisories, multilingual outreach, and voice-first digital access for marine fisherfolk — reinforcing science–community convergence for India’s Blue Economy.
